ANTARTICA XXITravelling to Antarctica has just become easier. If you have ever wanted to visit Antarctica, but were discouraged by the thought of the sometimes rough two day crossing through the Drake Passage, we would like to introduce you to the Antarctica XXI fly cruise program. Originating in Punta Arenas, Chile you board a charter flight which takes you to King George Island in less than three hours. From there you will board your ship, the 52-passenger ship M/V Professor Multanovskiy and commence the six day sailing between the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula. Sailing along ice-filled fjords and between spectacular icebergs, you will enjoy the company of sea birds, penguins, seals and whales. Your journey toward the south may include visits to some of the most magnificent spots on the white continent such as: Hannah Point, Port Lockroy, Petermann Island , Paradise Bay , Cuverville and Deception Islands amongst others. This Antarctic adventure will be full, with daily landings and excursions in zodiacs boats. In addition to saving yourself 4 days crossing the Drake Passage, this 7-night program is ideal for anyone who is limited on time. Of course, while your main aim may be experiencing Antarctica, you may like to take the opportunity to see some of the interesting destinations in Chile and Argentina. the PlaneThe BAe 146 was manufactured in the United Kingdom by British Aerospace (which later became part of BAE Systems).
