Remota
Galapagos Holidays is excited to offer this unique program for travellers
who want to visit Patagonia and the Torres del
Paine National Park. From Punta Arenas, located near the southern
tip of Chile, you drive 3 hours north to the small town of Puerto Natales. Remota Hotel sits perched on a small hill overlooking the bay of Ultima
Esperanza. The hotel's unique modern architecture is stunning and offers wonderful views from throughout the building. Choose from a menu of
daily excursions and discover the seemingly untouched region that is a world
reserve of beauty and culture. Beyond visits to the spectacular Torres
del Paine National Park, the nearby mountains, glaciers, lakes, rivers, and
vast prairies where you will have the chance to visit a local cattle
farm. Walk on the lands of ancestral cultures such as the nomad hunters,
Onas and Huilliches, and learn the captivating legends of the Yamanas
fisherman.
Remota Hotel is available year round.
A nice time
to visit this region is between March and May, when there is little wind, and
the forests and grasslands become tinted with colour. Springtime,
which begins in September, is also nice as trees begin to blossom, the grass and shrubs
bloom, and newborn animals are being born. At this time, the sheep shearing begins and the animals are moved to summer grazing
land.
Departures: Wednesday and Saturdays (3, 4, 7,
10 and 14 nts)
Rates: from US$ 1,548 (3nts)
Includes: lodging, meals with soft drinks or house wine, a menu of 5
daily excursions, use of sauna, open air Jacuzzi and heated pool

Finch Bay Eco-Resort
Nicely secluded away from the crowds of Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island, the main island in the Galapagos archipelago, you'll find the charming Finch Bay Eco Resort on a private seaside location surrounded by mangroves. This is an ideal spot to go about your days with as much or as little activity as you would like. Here guests can cherish the privacy, natural surroundings and superb service offered by the Finch Bay.
The Finch Bay Eco-Resort provides a combination of day excursions to
surrounding islands and multi-sport activities such as bicycling, kayaking and
diving. A nice compliment to your Galapagos cruise or as an alternative to cruising. Island visits include
North Seymour Island, Plaza Island, Santa Fe and Bartolome. Each island is different and presents its own unique wildlife and environment, but amongst the highlights, you may see colourful land iguanas, magnificent frigate birds, penguins and interesting vegetation such as the palo santo trees. At each stop you will enjoy the beauty of the contrasting landscapes. Until the end of April, the
Finch Bay is offering a special bonus of airfare from the mainland. That's a savings of
US$ 423 per person.
Departures: Wednesdays and Sundays (3, 4 or 7 nts)
Rates: from US$ 1053 per person (3 nts) - US$ 2,260 (7 nts)

Travel Tips:
We are often asked about the best times of the year to
travel. Here are our suggestions for few of the destinations we recommend:
*Galapagos Islands: Year
round is good. September is the rockiest on the seas and coolest temperate, but if you are
a snorkeller, visibility is terrific and many of the boats have wet suits
available. November - May is the warmest time of year. * Peru: Cusco/Machu
Picchu - The rainy season is December-March. May and September are nice
months to travel for nice weather and fewer crowds.
